Infrared Sauna
At A Healing Touch Therapeutic Massage we are always trying to find new ways to provide our clients with the best experience possible. As a wellness center, we are devoted to implementing new types of therapy to cater to each client’s specific needs. One way we have done this is with the addition of a Sunlighten full spectrum infrared sauna. Unlike a traditional steam sauna which heats the air, full spectrum infrared saunas contain carbon panels that produce infrared waves that heat the body from the inside out, using near, mid and far infrared technology. Infrared is the same type of heat released by the sun and because it is on the opposite end of the spectrum from UV rays, infrared is a safe and natural way to heat and detoxify the body. Detoxification occurs when your body temperature rises and flushes impurities through sweat. FAR infrared waves are capable of penetrating to the cellular level which provides a much higher level of detoxification and cellular regeneration. The sweat you produce in an average steam sauna is around 98% water and 2% toxins, whereas in an infrared sauna it is about 80% water and 20% toxins. This level of heat penetration and detoxifying power has also been seen to promote relaxation, aid in weight loss, lower blood pressure, relieve muscle and joint pain, increase circulation, and purify the skin. A relaxing 30-minute session will leave you feeling energized and rejuvenated.
We are also excited to be able to offer chromotherapy (color therapy) as a sauna feature. Chromotherapy promotes physical, emotional, and mental healing. Each color releases different frequencies of vibration associated with different physical symptoms. This allows the natural vibrations in your body to be adjusted to frequencies that promote healthier function. During sauna sessions, you have the option to choose a certain color to focus on a specific need or cycle through the full spectrum of colors for a more balanced approach. Chromotherapy, like infrared, is a safe and natural way to help your body function the way it was intended to.
